Hi there. I downloaded the latest version of PP, f40, and tried to install it, but AIR reported an error in application configuration. The older version worked ok.

I use Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.

Tactic available in only one regiion?

A player asks: I thought about creating a scenario about a movement for solidarity based economy, food cooperatives in particular. Is it possible to create one tactic that is available in only one region? How to do so? I hope such a possibility exists. Thank you for your answers in advance!

my further questions are: Is it possible to create a tactic that enables the player to create a new group during the game?

Just started reading through the info for the Pourinian Occupation scenario. Under the people and places, the movement is referred to as the Kwiets and the Regime Bhourland… a left over from an older scenario. Cool story so far though!

Tutorial Broken?

Hello there! I was asked to play this game at the request of the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice. I’ve been a video game addict for 25 years and I run (with two other guys) a site called VeteranGamers.

I’m excited to play this game, since it appears to combine two things I love—video games and progressive political action. The construction of the game looks sound enough (based on a mere half-hour of play so far), but I wonder if the tutorial is broken. (This, obviously, is a huge stumbling to me—and others, I expect—wanting to play it more.)

The Details: In the tutorial, on game date 4/25/09, I was instructed to schedule a Fundraising tactic for a recycling group in the “Trendy Ranch” part of Smithville. Alas, the only option I saw on the Tactics List was “Ask for Support” from the Business Association. I tried this (thinking perhaps the tutorial developer had merely left out a step), and received a newspaper headline announcing that the movement was growing. (The green Momentum box in the top-left corner went from 3 to 11.)

Now there is nothing available in the Tactics List. I’m really not sure what to do, since the Tutorial is trying to take me down a path that I—apparently—cannot travel.

I want to help fix this (and any other problems I encounter), for two reasons: One, I want to see it succeed because it seems like a very worthwhile contribution to the world of strategy games. And Two, I paid $10 and I want my money’s worth, heh!

If I’ve done something wrong, please let me know. If the tutorial is indeed broken, please let me know when I can find an updated version to try again.

what is the ‘Fear’ level of a person? is it the fear of oppression? What does that change about his personality and the way to deal with him?

What is the momentum? (I’m french and that term isnt familiar to me)

Selecting strategic focus/direction: Brybury

I am curious what people are finding in terms of how to focus efforts in Brybury Coast - There are multiple possible issues, and no clear stated goal for the scenario.

I am not sure how to focus my organizing efforts since it seems I can’t select an issue specifically - so I am not sure which issue I am addressing when I “meet” with someone.

What are the “goals” of the scenario? “Just build a movement” or . . . reading the news and then deciding who to target, etc.

Anyone else having experiences or thoughts along this line?
